The dental crown is a treatment less and less used in contemporary dentistry and which corresponds to the complete covering of the visible part of a tooth.

This treatment is currently indicated in the case of extremely damaged teeth, having been repaired many times (especially with composite resins), or weakened by root canal treatments.

This cover with a crown makes it possible to protect the tooth and to increase its resistance to wear or fracture.

At the CHD in Lausanne we have eliminated all metal parts and only use ceramic crowns for optimal aesthetics and maximum biocompatibility.
