Dental veneers are thin shells of ceramic or resin that are permanently bonded to the surface of the teeth and that allow to modify all their possible characteristics. The comparison with an artificial nail is often used in the case of dental veneers. It is also important to note that dental veneers accurately reproduce all the characteristics of a natural tooth, making it impossible to determine with the naked eye which are the natural teeth and which ones are veneers.
Depending on the material used, veneers are therefore extremely resistant to wear and fracture and allow us to :
- Change your teeth color
- Close or open spaces between teeth
- Align crowded teeth without having to go through an orthodontic treatment
- Change the teeth’s shape
- Protect enamel fissures, cracks, or tooth fractures
The CHD pays particular attention to the planning and validation of the new smile in the case of dental veneers for a smile rehabilitation. This is why during the first consultation we like to simulate the results that you are going to get at the end of the treatment. This simulation is totally reversible and non-invasive.
Finally, the number of sessions varies according to the complexity of the case and the number of tests required before the validation of the final aesthetic but usually ranges from 2 to 4 appointments in total.
